RACQ CareFlight flew to Nambour Hospital overnight to assist a 22 year old Coolum man after he was involved in a motorbike accident.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) treated the patient at the scene, before transporting the patient to the Nambour Hospital.
The CareFlight doctor and QAS paramedic on board the CareFlight Bell 412 helicopter treated the man for a severe head injury. He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical but stable condition.
RACQ CareFlight is a medical and rescue helicopter service on stand-by 24 hours a day for people who are sick or injured in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.
