RACQ CareFlight airlifted a 52 year old Mount Tamborine man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, after he was involved in a two car accident on Tamborine Mountain Road yesterday morning (March 7).
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) treated the patient at the scene, before transporting the patient to the QAS Base at Mount Tamborine at around midday to meet the RACQ CareFlight team.
The CareFlight doctor and QAS paramedic on board the CareFlight Bell 412 helicopter treated the man for possible spinal and abdominal injuries. The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, in a stable condition.
RACQ CareFlight is a medical and rescue helicopter service on stand-by 24 hours a day for people who are sick or injured in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.
