Gold Coast Titan’s co-captain Luke Bailey and speedster Matt Rogers will pull out the clubs on Sunday 23rd September as part of the Spring Carnival of Golf.
The boys will be helping raise money for RACQ CareFlight playing alongside more than 60 professionals in the Pro-AM Tournament at Gold Coast Burleigh Golf Club.
“We hope to raise more than $20,000 for CareFlight on the day. As a local born and bred not-for-profit organisation they do an incredible job helping thousands of people every year,” said Andrew McKerr, Event Organiser.
Legendary Aussie Golfer Ossie Moore and funny man Danny McMaster will also be getting into the swing of things on the day.
CareFlight’s Bell 412 will be making a drop in appearance giving the air-medical crew on duty a chance to mingle with those having a hit for CareFlight.
“CareFlight is very fortunate to be benefiting from the Spring Carnival of Golf as it is a new event that looks like really taking off in years to come,” said Lisa Douglas Regional Manager-Gold Coast.
Each year CareFlight’s medically configured helicopters go to the aid of more than 3000 people. The service is there for the residents of Northern NSW and Southern QLD 24/7 at absolutely no cost to the patient.
The Spring Carnival of Golf is already underway with the sponsor’s cocktail party raising over $6,000.
