LJ Hooker today upstaged the big eared fluffy favouirte in the lead up to easter when representatives dropped into the CareFlight's Toowoomba hangar with a $12,000 cheque hiding amongst their basket of goodies.
“I know a lot of the guys here love a chocolate treat, but another significant financial donation from LJ Hooker is really appreciated, the business is great supporters of ours and we can’t thank them enough,” said RACQ CareFlight Base Manager Andrew Riches.
LJ Hooker staff were at the RACQ CareFlight hangar this morning dishing out the hot cross buns and chocolate eggs to dedicated crew members as an appetiser to their latest donation.
“My staff and I draw an enormous amount of satisfaction from seeing RACQ CareFlight come to town and we are committed to ensuring the wonderful work of the iconic blue and yellow helicopters continued," said LJ Hooker Managing Director Mike Stewart.
“Already in their first twelve months of operation in the region, CareFlight has completed in excess of 150 emergency missions and has given comfort to a community that faces many safety challenges often the direct result of geographic remoteness,” said Mr Stewart.
RACQ CareFlight’s South West weekend service will go full time over the easter holdiay period, with air-medical crews based daily at the hangar caring for the community.
