TEENAGE DRIVER TRAPPED FOR TWO HOURS

A teenage boy is in a critical condition after crashing his car into a concrete pillar south of Beaudesert.

"It did not look good when we arrived,  half the car was up and over the concrete barrier and the boy was trapped for almost two hours before emergency crews could get him out," said RACQ CareFlight Doctor Renee Beer.

The car hit the concrete pillar at the entrance to a property on Christmas Creek Road south of Beaudesert and flipped on its side on impact.

"The patient was in a critical condition and needed to get to a major trauma hospital immediately, he had suspected head injuries as well as chest and abdominal injuries," said Dr Renee Beer.

RACQ CareFlight airlifted the patient to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
