A 22 year old Milmerran man has suffered burns to his abdomen and thighs after a petrol accident.
It's believed the man sustained the burns after setting fire to ants nests on his property.
The RACQ CareFlight helicopter airlifted the man from Milmerran Hospital to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.
“The chopper originally set out to attend the scene of the accident, however en-route we were diverted to the Milmerran hospital, where our critical care doctor could assist with treatment prior to transporting the patient,” said RACQ CareFlight Crewman Matthew O’Rourke.
The patient is in a serious but stable condition.
