A 44 year old woman had to be airlifted to Brisbane, following an accident with a horse earlier today.
The woman was found unconscious with the horse on top of her at her property at Condamine.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the property, where the patient had to be ventilated and transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for specialised treatment.
“The details of what actually occurred are not yet known, but the woman was discovered unconscious underneath the horse. We aren’t sure how long she was trapped beneath the horse, but our top priority was simply to get her to Brisbane for specialist treatment,” said RACQ CareFlight Rescue Pilot Andrew Riches.
The patient is in a serious condition and is currently on life support.
