The Gold Coast received a taste of the outback today, when some of the country’s best bull riders to launched the Staunch Energy Drinks National Finals Rodeo.

Held at Moo Moo’s Bar + Grill at Broadbeach, the launch was be a great opportunity to hear from both the stars of the Australian rodeo circuit who will be competing from the 8th to the 11th of January at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

All proceeds from the National Finals Rodeo will benefit local charity, RACQ CareFlight Rescue.

A rescue crew from RACQ CareFlight Rescue attended the launch to meet the bull riders behind the event who provide the local helicopter service with invaluable support.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Lisa Douglas says the charity is thrilled to be the event beneficiary for the third year running.

“Events like this not only provide a considerable donation, but help boost our profile which is extremely timely coming into the holiday season when our rescue crews are kept incredibly busy helping sick and injured people,” she said.

Event organiser Steve Gibson says he couldn’t think of a better charity than RACQ CareFlight Rescue to benefit from the rodeo.

“RACQ CareFlight Rescue services many of the home towns of our competitors and their families and our followers are very familiar with their helicopters and the lifesaving work they do.
