Injured bushwalker winched to safety

The RACQ CareFlight helicopter has been tasked to Tabletop Mountain near Toowoomba to treat a 17-yr-old male who has dislocated his knee whilst climbing the track.

The teenager was roughly halfway to the top when the painful injury occurred.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter hovered overhead and winched our Doctor & Paramedic to the patient.
 
The 17-yr-old from Brisbane was strapped into a stretcher for the winch back into the helicopter and then airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
