CareFlight helicopters relocate to Roma for flood evacuations
Three CareFlight helicopters will be on standby in Roma over the weekend to evacuate residents from severely flooded areas in southwest Queensland.
Earlier today, CareFlight’s permanently based Roma aircraft flew Police Officers to Mitchell. The crew then flew an elderly Mitchell resident back to Roma Hospital.
Two additional CareFlight helicopters are currently relocating from the Gold Coast and Toowoomba to help with possible evacuations as Emergency Services prepare for major flooding in Roma and St George.
