Learjet committed to flood relief for next two weeks

As southwest Queensland residents continue the huge task of cleaning up their flooded homes, CareFlight continues to help those affected by airlifting evacuated residents back to their towns.

For the next two weeks CareFlight's Learjet will perform continuous flights to flood affected Charleville airlifting families back to what is left of their homes. It’s part of CareFlight’s ongoing emergency response to the flood-affected areas of Roma, St George, Charleville, Mitchell and surrounding towns.

Four patients were flown today from Brisbane to Charleville, signaling the start of the cleanup efforts in the area.

The jet will make two flights in and out of Charleville every day for the next two weeks until as many residents as possible can be returned to their homes.

Two CareFlight helicopters also remain on standby 24/7 in Roma in case of emergencies.
