Doctor winched down to treat badly injured bushwalker

This afternoon around 5pm, RACQ CareFlight was tasked to treat an injured bushwalker in Tallebudgera Valley.

The 45 -yr-old male bushwalker had fallen and suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and legs.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter hovered overhead and winched down a Doctor & Intensive Care Paramedic to treat the patient. 

Due to last light, the Doctor and Paramedic stretchered the patient out by foot with the assistance of QAS & SES.

The man was road transported to the Gold Coast Hospital in a serious condition.
